Mephibosheth received a fortune from David, not based on his merit, his conduct, or even his rights, but because of his relationship to Jonathan. You have received a fortune from God the Father, not based on anything you have done, but solely based on your relationship to the Son of God. On his cross, Jesus broke your shame. He changed your story.
God doesn't force anyone to wear the story. That's your choice. He's done all that he possibly can. Now he invites you to let Jesus break your shame and cover your future with grace.
